Snow Days, Spring Dreaming, and More!

Ahhh I cannot even explain how happy I am to have a snow day! Slowing down has become such a part of my world, and I can’t tell you how much better I feel with honoring this part of the manifestation process. I hope you are enjoying a resting and relaxing day, whatever weather you are having.

So it is time for another monthly blog post update. Things are going well! We are having a blast with online classes. I hope you will consider joining us for one. You can find the full schedule on the Courses page, and message me to hold your space. Each month we have a Full Moon Gathering, a Tarot Tune Up class, and other special event courses. I am looking forward to our first Pendulum workshop, it will be great to incorporate this tool into our spiritual intuition toolkit! I am considering working with Runes, anyone use them? I think it would be fun to work together to develop that tool as well. So many options on the path!

I am also enjoying booking events, and I am open to private events and business partnerships if you’d like to discuss. I have a fun event coming up next month at the Jersey Shore with my dear friend Julie. More info on that to come soon!

As much as I am enjoying the slower pace of winter and the joy of snow days spent cozy at home, I can’t help but feel excitement for the coming Spring season! I look forward to planting my background herb garden, continuing my work with growing houseplants and expanding my skills and knowledge into working with trees. There is just something so special about growing things from your own hands, ya know? I will have some really great Spring inspired specials coming up, so be sure to follow my Instagram account. Aside from the New Year sessions, I have a lot I am looking forward to. I am going to spend the first week of this year really focusing on setting my goals, intentions and manifestations for the coming year. I am grateful to have some down time to really delve in. Part of that will be working with my planner and writing it all down- there’s just something about list making and scheduling in paper, right? The other part is Vision Boarding. I have my big ole board ready to go. I am brainstorming a workshop on this process, and am hoping I can announce the details soon. This is something I have wanted to do in previous years and the time just seemed to get away from me. I am feeling the push to offer this now, so I know that means the time is right to share this wisdom!

I feel happy to have a couple weeks to take some deep breaths, tune in for my biz side of things, and get my life back together so to speak before delving into another busy semester. Those of us in higher ed really do judge our years in semester chunks- it is an interesting way of looking at life and really helps you mark the seasons in a big way. Spring Semester will find me teaching courses in person and online, writing writing writing (2 books!), and further diving into hobbies such as plants, gardening, walks on the trail, yoga and meditation and more… I am excited but totally okay with taking this pause before the action. To everything there truly is a season, and I am getting better and better at recognizing and honoring that flow.

Feeling Alive Again!

Wow, you guys- what an absolute whirlwind of a semester. That was the ultimate challenge of determination, grit and organization. I pretty much had to put aside all else and focus on getting through this intense academic semester, where I was teaching more than double a full time teaching load. The older I get the more I realize the need for work-life balance, and the more motivation I get to find more balance throughout my life.

Now that the term is winding down I am grading grading grading. BUT I am also having a moment to take a deep breath, get back to focusing more fully on self care, doing some yoga, sitting in the eucalyptus steam room (get yourself to one if you have not tried it yet- SO healing!), catching up with some friends, etc… It feels good and gives me more motivation to live this kind of balanced life moving forward.

So, all was not lost this term. I grew the Events part of my biz, adding in another Alex and Ani partnership location in Bethesda, Maryland. I SO enjoy these events! So much so that I added a service and you can book me for your own events. Check out the details on my Events page.

I have a couple events coming up before Christmas! I can’t wait.

We had some good online spiritual courses! More of those to come in the new year, including full moon events!

In writer life, I am set to work on my second book again shortly. Writing was put on the back burner and I am looking forward to delving in again, and grateful for understanding publishers who accommodate my crazy work life schedule. Book 2 and 3 are set to publish in 2019 so that gives me lots of motivation to keep pushing forward!

In my personal life, I was able to go to my fav spot, WOODSTOCK to celebrate my Bday. Wow, do I love this lil mountain town.

I am looking forward to the new year, feeling inspired to make some changes and really align things in the best way, and I can see some great things on the horizon!

Fall Vibes

Here I go again, telling you how busy things have been and apologizing for so long between my posts. In all seriousness though, that’s the truth, and so here we are.

Fall is such a rad season, you know what I mean?

I had to scale back a bit with the biz side of things while I got situated with my Fall teaching semester. Now I am finding my groove, or as much as I can, and I am ready to push forward with our Soul tribe and some fun fall events. First up is our Manifestation and Soul Mission seminar next week, and then we will have a Tarot tune up session the following week. I’d love to have you join in. The other cool things I have coming up is the change up to my readings. I am now doing them in video format, and it is adding a really special extra layer. You can book 4 and 6 card readings directly on my site, and ask me any questions you would like me to include.

Summer Update

Well Hello my Loves.

My how the time has flown. A lot has happened since my last post, so allow me to start with a bit of an update on things in my lil ole life.

• My first book came out this month. This was a great goal accomplished for me, and a dream realized. I am currently hard at work on writing my second book, and that one is set to publish in December. After that I will start writing my third book, set to publish August of 2019. It is hard to believe in one year I will be the published author of two books! Dreams can come true, manifesting is such a pleasure, and of course, as always life is a wild ride...

• I enjoyed a slower pace of life this Summer. In Professor life, I taught one online college course and then one in person night course, and spent the rest of the time dedicated to growing my business and writing. I can now see the mix of (1)teaching, (2)serving clients, and (3)writing- it truly is a good life for me. I am excited to see how things will grow, what new directions I will be called in. I am open and receptive, and know all is unfolding perfectly.

• Healing-wise, I can say the energies have been quite intense. With all of the eclipse happenings, I know a lot of us sensitive souls had a great deal of clearing and releasing. I have been confronting my fears head on, and some days the only thing we can really do is to keep on keeping on.

• Manifesting- wise, I am still focused on growing my business reach, working with new clients and getting my messages out there. After these first 3 academic books, I would like to have the opportunity to write more spiritually aligned books as well. I can see myself developing an Oracle card deck, and giving big speeches. I can't wait to get back to Woodstock this Fall, aka the Motherland, and get some good ole mountain air and inspiration. I am still obsessed with thrifting all things cozy and eclectic for nesting my groovy home, growing my collection of healing crystals, collecting vinyl, and my daily trail walks. It is a simple and grounded life I am building for myself, and I can honestly say I have never felt more rooted or stable. 

• I hit my two years living in New Jersey mark this month, and I am blessed to be living somewhere that aligns with my Soul so well. I really could not ask for anything more, location-wise.

That's about all I have for now. I hope the end of this Summer finds you in a peaceful and hopeful place. It really is all happening, whether we can see it all the time or not. Keep dreaming big and showing up each and every day. Blessed to be walking the spiritual path alongside you.

Getting Unstuck- Just Doing Something!

 Hey Soul Fam.

I hope everyone is doing well out there. I am hoping to come on at least once each month to offer my thoughts up in written form.

The past couple of months have been huge for my business.  I have seen the greatest growth yet, and feel excited and inspired to see what can continue to grow, as I follow my guidance and trust my intuition.

As a run down, here are the services I developed and am currently offering:

1. Emailed Readings- 4 card, 6 card, and various specials offered on Instagram

2.Soul Coaching Sessions- 1 hour and half hour, conducted on the phone

3. Patreon Daily guidance- $11 a month for a daily card and guidance and a monthly member only Live reading and chat

4. 1 card questions at Instant Go

5. Monthly online courses- we did Manifestation and Soul Mission in May, and Learning to Read Tarot in June, looking forward to developing future courses!

6. 3 Live guidance sessions a week, at no cost, as my gift to the collective. One weekly guidance and two midweek guidances.

I am also set to attend my first in person event at the end of this month, where I will offer cards and guidance.
AND I am going to be doing readings and intuitive guidance for Alex and Ani customers in Fairfax, Virginia. SO stoked about combining with a brand I truly enjoy and believe in.

I am doing all of this, with building my business and growing it in the direction of my dreams, while also managing my career in academia. I currently teach for 5 colleges and universities, as an adjunct, teaching both Sociology and Criminal Justice courses. I teach in person and online, and build courses as well. 

I also finished writing my first book, The World is our Lab, and am set to get started on my second book, Peace, Love, and Sociology.

It's truly amazing how much you can accomplish when you decide to just GO. Ya know?

SO what is it that holds us back so often? Feeling stuck is a real thing. It holds us into places and situations where we know we don't belong. FEAR is debilitating, that's for sure.

I think perfectionism is one of the main things that causes us to delay. We want to get things JUST RIGHT, so we wait, and we wait, and we ruminate, and then we wait some more... When, in all reality, by then we could have been up and going, and making the adjustments needed along the way. 

I have let go of SO MUCH over the past year, I honestly didn't even know how much was within me. So many things that needed to be uncovered, brought up to the light for analysis and healing, and yet so many more things that had to be released. 

The other part I have found is that we assume we have to have it all planned out and mapped out perfectly. This just isn't realistic for us most of the times. For me, with so many various parts, the main thing I need to concern myself with is balance. Taking care of myself first and foremost with good self care, so that I can go out and do all of these tasks that fulfill me and contribute to the fulfillment of my greater Soul Mission.

If you are struggling with balance, sit down with a pen and journal, and ask yourself- "Where am I giving too much? What do I need to let go of? What would I like to make space to invite in?" Leap, and the Net Will Appear... So here I go!

     I've never been one who is afraid to take risks. I'm a Sagittarius, for goodness sake. *I like to get the woo-woo warning out early these days, so if you are turned off by sign-talk now would be a good time to leave this conversation ;)

So- here's the thing. While I KNOW how manifestation works, I have manifested many things in my life- big and small, and everywhere in between- it does not make those big leaps any less scary.

What is fear anyway? It's us coming up against the greatest demon of all- our own selves. 

I have had SO much change and transition in the last couple of years. I got the deep Soul urge to totally transform my life, and in that swift and rapid time of change somehow I ended up nestled into a cozy life here in New Jersey. All these pieces fell into place, and I've been doing my best to flow with the wild ride.

Professionally, this transition time has involved much change as well. In many ways, higher education has been a training school for me.  I learned to find my voice, to keep the good gigs and leave the bad ones, and make progress toward a more Soul-aligned path. 

It was always my Heart's plan to shift into a Soul-aligned business. I know higher education has prepared me for the teaching skills I will need. I know how to create courses, engage with people from all types of backgrounds, and I like to think I've told a good joke or two. I am grateful for the opportunities I have been given, and even the bad experiences have taught me about life, about people, and about trusting my own gut.

But I can't keep playing it small. The full focus on higher education with my business as a side gig was no longer working for me. The Universe kept confirming that to me. It was just up to me to catch up.

I'm there now, I truly am. The only thing standing in the way of me and this next great chapter? My own fears. Doubts of- how can I make enough income? Will I be understood? Will my family be proud of me, etc, etc, etc. The truth is- I HAVE to shine my light. I HAVE to lead by example. Why am I sharing all of these messages of truth and hope with others if I myself don't heed my own Soul's call.

So here I am world: Jessica, a Guide for Heart-led Soul-aligned living. 

I am ready to serve, to fulfill my Soul's mission. 
I am so pleased to have you on board. 
Let's do this Earth school thing.

On Spiritual Growth and Ego Death

Slow & easy snow day meditation 💫 

I want to share some thoughts on spiritual growth, and on ego death and pain in particular. My relationship with presence and meditation has evolved quite distinctly recently, given my rapid spiritual ascension. All of this has been in no way a glamorous process, in fact it has involved a million and one ego deaths and continual surrender and acceptance, again and again and again... I get that the spiritual path can seem without darkness.

I know when I first started working with the law of attraction I had great fun playing with manifesting material things- people who matched my exact superficial checklist criteria, a beachfront condo in Miami with floor to ceiling windows, a BMW convertible, a six figure job, etc etc etc... That is only one piece to this path. Waking up to the realization our thoughts create our reality is a beautiful one. The empowerment from that Truth allows us to shed layers of victimhood and release old stories. However, once we own our true Soul Missions, the real work begins.

We have to embody the qualities needed, and many times this means we have to let go of all the conditioning and lies of a world we feel so outside of. I never felt I fit in. I never felt understood. I always questioned our version of "reality." Perhaps you are the same as me? If so, this is all part of your Soul's evolution, a remembering of your intention for this life. Don't be afraid to sit still, and dive into all of your deepest and darkest pains. You have to release in order to go higher. The only way out is through. There may be moments where you will question if this is worth it. But once you have awoken, dear Soul, there is no going back. 💫 I am sending you ✌️& 💛to aid you on your journey.

Teachings of Love, From the Path.

It's either Love, or it isn't. 

     This might be the most important teaching I have learned on the path.  You might find yourself asking, after coming to this realization, "Then why doesn't everyone understand this? Why doesn't everyone live on Earth, in peace and harmony, extending Love to all they meet?"

     AHHH... Here comes the challenge. "The Other."

It is easy to extend Love to those we hold dear, those who are similar to us, those who do not challenge or scare us. It is SO much harder to take the time and effort to understand those who do not fit into our own conceptual frameworks, who can't be put into our safe boxes, who force us to grow and even- to change.

     It takes time to develop these skills, it is by no means easy to shed the cultural biases we have learned, the fear that has been placed in our Hearts by our societies and our past experiences. I want to encourage you to keep going. 

    This path is worth it, you are worth it. The life you so desire is on its way. You can keep showing up each and every day, shedding old layers, feeling lighter and more free.

     If I can do it, you can do it. We are no different, in fact, we are all One. I Love you, and I see your unique talents and beauty. It's time to rise and shine, and let your Heart lead the way.

Slow and Steady

     I was inspired after pulling the Poised and New Life cards, yet again, to offer some guidance to all of us on the path. It has been said by many spiritual teachers, astrologists, numerologists, empaths, Tarot readers- basically everyone attunded to the energies and flow of life, that last year was a tough one. We had to go in and heal some really deep things, and many of us ended the year feeling a bit weary, worn out, and ready for some change. 

     The good news is that it really does seem that change is headed our way. Nothing stays the same forever, seasons change in nature, and in our own lives as well. We are all connected, and as a collective we have some great things on the horizon. I want to remind you to keep the following mantra in mind during this time of great transition: Slow and Steady.

      Nothing needs to happen all at once, over night. Good things are worth waiting for. Patience is a deep, advanced soul lesson, as is Trust. The Universe is calling on you to do your part, keep on showing up, keep on keeping on, don't let the Ego get in the way this time. Things are being lined up for you behind the scenes, and you can really knock it out of the park this time, if you just keep practicing those swings. 

     So--- how do we cope in the meantime? Set your intentions. Focus on utilizing positive thinking and the Law of Attraction to assist you. I am going to be offering some coaching packages aimed directly at this topic, if this is an area you find yourself struggling. Any pause is a gift, a time to go deep within, embrace the stillness, and ask yourself- What do you REALLY want? The time of playing small is past us, this is a season of emerging into our light.

     You can have the life of your dreams, but in order to do so, you have to be committed to change. You can't invite in a new, better, more Soul aligned life if you are holding on to old outdated beliefs which no longer serve you. Healing is real, change IS possible, you can find yourself in a magical year if you allow this time to work for you.

What is Soul Coaching

Soul Coaching, my own creation :), is Life Coaching, from the perspective that we are all Souls.

We are not just human beings, living this one random lifetime. We have purposes and missions for our lives, and we have wisdom and guidance available to help us.

We tap into that, and work together to move past any blocks you may have, so you can being to manifest and live the life of your Soul's greatest desires.

The Heart is a key in the process, as living from the Heart is the way to find the Soul's fulfillment.

My Business Story

     Hello, and thank you SO much for joining me. I am excited to write my first blog post. I figured it'd be best to start with the story of this little ole business, so that's just what we will do.

     I have been working in the position of an educator as far back as 2008. It was during my graduate studies in Sociology where I was assigned my first course as a college instructor. This was a transformative experience for me, and I quickly fell in love with teaching and the human connections with my students. If I am being totally honest, I think I can trace my love for teaching and sharing knowledge and lessons with others all the way through my entire life. 

     I completed training to be a Life Coach, and launched my business in 2014. I wasn't exactly sure how this business would work, what exact services I would offer or how it would fit into my life along with teaching as an adjunct professor. I simply knew I felt called to do this work, and that my role as a teacher would evolve in more ways than simply the classes I was currently teaching.

     The next few years I saw a few clients here and there, booked some public speaking engagements, grew my Facebook page a bit- but it never fully clicked. It wasn't until moving to New Jersey this past summer when I finally got the undeniable urge to JUST GO FOR IT. I was ready to step outside of my role of simply teaching in the college setting. In doing so I am following the calling of my heart and Soul. 

      I made the commitment to provide daily life coaching video tips Monday through Friday on my Facebook page. I will also be providing more blog posts, offering online courses, unique coaching packages, and more!

     SO- a big part of growing my business is reaching out online, and allowing others to see exactly what it is I do, and what I have to offer. Many people (most/all in my opinion) could benefit from work with a Life Coach. However, so many people still do not know what that is about.  I believe in the Law of Attraction, the power of positive thinking, the use of energy healing, and more. Along with my Life Coaching certification, I am also Reiki Level 2 certified. I also enjoy pulling cards to get some additional guidance on the themes and messages. My unique style of coaching blends many forms of intuition and guidance to give you support on your journey.

   So here's how my business works-   I offer one hour coaching appointments. Clients can book as they go, or purchase a package with multiple appointments if they like. The work can be conducted over the phone or Skype.. I coach from the comfort of my cozy home right here in Southern New Jersey, with my two rescue dog mutts by my side. You can come to our meeting with specific issues or challenges or goals in mind, or we can work more generally. Our work together will be not only effective and powerful, but fun too!

    A little bit about myself- I LOVE my life here in Jersey, outside of Philly. I get to take advantage of all of the great offerings of the city- awesome live music, delicious vegan food, endless events, etc... I get to live a short drive from all of that, and yet where I live is full of green space and roadside produce stands, beautiful trails, and adorable towns with charming downtown districts. I feel so supported by the Universe in the magical way I found my current life- it was in no way planned out, and yet it is the best life for me that I could image. THIS is how it works, set the goals and the intentions, honor your honest soul and heart desires, and make room to allow for the magic to happen. I don't just preach- I live my messages. I want to live a honest and true and beautiful life, and help others to do the same. I am so pleased to connect with you on this journey.

What Do I Do With All of this Pain?

You will hear it so many times, said in so many different ways, once you start walking the Spiritual Path.

   "Your pain is your gift. Your sensitivity isn't a curse it is a blessing. This is meant to help you, to show you where you need to heal, so you can go higher." Etc, etc, etc...

     And as much as you want to Trust, to believe in the Universe, to know all things really and truly are meant for your Highest Good- sometimes you are left thinking- WHY DO I HAVE TO FEEL ALL OF THIS PAIN?

     This is the human experience- what our Souls came here to do. It isn't for the weak, that's for sure. This is where it is important to remember one key transformational thing- you are SO STRONG. It may not always feel like that, not in the most difficult moments, but still, the truth remains. The most empowering thing you can do is begin to sit still, invite your pain to show you what lessons it has to you, and then allow yourself to heal it and move higher. 

      If you can understand you are fully equipped for your unique mission, if you can begin to understand that you did in fact choose to be here this lifetime, that your Soul has a purpose, you can begin to align with that path. It's not that all pain will instantly dissolve, or that you will not experience another painful experience ever. But you can begin to see the beautiful connection of all that you have experienced, and all that is to come. You can look at things beyond each moment, and understand it is all leading you on your magical journey. You can take back your power when you see you are not a victim of life or its circumstances, but rather a Soul warrior who holds the key to unlocking all of your heart's deepest desires.

     The path unfolds on its own. You can go fast or you can go slow.  You can take lifetimes of stubbornness, or instead, you can make a commitment- right this very moment. Are you going to change the way you think? Are you willing to let go of feeling "small," of letting your pain define you? And are you willing to see your painful experiences for opportunities to create something beautiful?

     Think of great works of art- painting that move you, song that bring you to tears. Think of businesses and services that have been created to help ease the suffering of others. Think of open-hearted people, who freely give their compassion and Love to the world. YOU can become this person, and you can develop and grow something beautiful from the pain and lessons you have been given. Understand you are becoming more REAL. You are letting go of all of the false lessons you were fed by society, as you tune in with the big Truths, the capital T truths, the ones your Soul knows it can believe in.

     Use your pain. Don't fear it. It will not defeat you. Breathe into it, and ask it to show you it's wisdom, and then kindly dismiss it on its way. Commit deeper to your Soul Mission. Let your Heart know it can be safe, no matter what happens, you are strong, and tough, and this is your chance to shine. 

     I am here to help you, if you should need it. We can work together through coaching, and uncover your blocks, and move forward on your path. I am excited for you in this time of great change.

Accessing Your Personal Intuition and Guidance System

     Each of us are equipped with all the support we need to accomplish our individual, unique Soul Missions. A big part of accessing this guidance is simply turning within. This involves getting quiet and still. Making time for a daily mediation practice is a huge help in this area. The next part of the puzzle is learning to trust the guidance as you get it. It is easy in the beginning to brush aside signs and question our own gut reactions. As you start to tune in more and more, you will realize there are messages waiting for you, and when you rely on them you will be assisted toward your greater goal and purpose.

    If you are open to tarot or angel cards you can try playing around with those, and see if they resonate. I recently started a daily practice of pulling cards for myself each morning. This helps me check in on the energy for the day, and be aware of what to expect and look for. You can also look into Astrological guidance as a tool to guide you. There is great wisdom in understanding not only your Sun sign, the sign you hear people most commonly identify with, but also your Moon sign, rising, and more.

     Self-Love really is the most amazing thing you can give yourself💛Nothing in the world will feel better, nothing has the power to please and fulfill you on the same level. 💫 What's so wild about this is that it's already in all of us. Our access to it may just be blocked. My life's work and mission is all about love. I help people remove their blocks to love- through guiding my clients to heal their selves and their lives as a Life Coach. 🌻 I want you to know that when you hear the wisdom that the world will change when you let Self-Love flow in your life, I mean this literally. Wisdom From The Soul Path

     I had an interesting experience today, and I knew I should share it with you, dear Friends. 

I came across this photo, from 3 years ago. This was the message on the back of my business cards at that point. I LOVE seeing this. I love seeing that even 3 years ago, I had this business as my dream in my heart. I love seeing that I have followed this journey, though it has not been a straight path, I have followed the calling of my Soul to lead me up until this point. Having a goal and a vision isn't always clear- it is about taking active and consistent steps each day, and allowing the path to unfold before you. I hope my life and my business and any success that comes my way will continue to serve as an illustration for all of this.
